Village Earth’s online Certificate Program in Sustainable Community Development is not just meant for community workers, it’s also a great resource for those seeking continuing education and professional development in numerous other professional fields. And, because our program is offered in partnership with Colorado State University you have greater assurance that you will receive professional credit for our courses. In fact, each of our courses is worth two (2) continuing education units. A CEU is a unit of credit equal to ten hours of participation in an accredited program designed for professionals with certificates or licenses to practice various professions.
With 15 different courses in a range of topics the Village Earth/CSU program is a great program for:
- K-12 teachers (especially those teaching in International Baccalaureate or Service Learning programs)
- Members of Boards of Directors for organizations working a range of fields related to international community development, sustainable development, aid and relief, and missionary organizations.
- People working for funding organizations that seek to better understand local needs as well as dynamics between organizations/donors and beneficiaries.
- Anyone working for local governments in the areas of social work, community planning, and economic development.
