The project seeks to reconnect these communities with their heritage and with the buffalo, which have also been displaced from their traditional southern ranges. TTBP aligns with the International Buffalo Treaty and Buffalo Lifeway movements, prioritizing the health of soil, grass, and water. The project also offers quality bison products to improve health, promotes the well-being of Indigenous descendants, and fosters understanding between all Texans and the buffalo and native cultures.

TTBP’s core values include prayer, acknowledging kinship, a strong work ethic, and caring for the soil, which in turn supports the health of the buffalo and people.
